After Pearl Harbor had been bombed and the U.S. declaration of war on Japan many Japanese Americans were rounded up, searched, and moved to camps. The reason for doing this was in the national security that some of the Japanese Americans would be spy's and sabotage the war effort. It was also in the best interest for Japanese Americans because many people had became violent towards them and they would be constantly threatened. the conditions at the camps were not the best they were only made of a layer of wood and were placed out into the isolated areas.
